Foods with whole cereals are a considerable source of nutrients and dietary substances.
Cereals are an essential component of daily diet and are one a main source of carbohydrates, fiber and protein. Generally, foods like bread, cookies and cakes, pasta, pastries and many other precooked foods only use the internal grain of cereal, in the form of refined white flour.
